her social life was a completely separate matter, and one that fell by the wayside. george had fretted that home schooling would isolate her too much, and though both his wife and daughter objected, there was some grain of truth to his concerns. felicity grew up believing she was the best - best at performing, best at being right, best at anything, something her mother fueled in her. she alienated peers with her self-righteous ways, and for a good few early teen years, she could count on one hand the friends she had. not that it bothered her, of course; she was performing on west end productions, why did she need friends? her rude awakening came at seventeen with a few months of nothing but rejections and call backs that went nowhere, breaking her carefully built bubble and bringing her back down to earth and the realisation that maybe she wasn't as vastly superior as she'd believed. better now than later, her father had scolded. she bounced back easily, but she was careful to be less idealistic about herself and those around her. over the next few years she grew not only as a performer but also as a person, friend, daughter. cheesy, she always says when she looks back on it, but it is what it is. Having found some notoriety on the West End stage by the time she was twenty-five, Felicity made the jump across the pond with a move to new york city and found continued success on broadawy. Only a year and a half after the move to New York City, however, she fell in love with a director who was struggling to make a name for himself on Broadway and decided to move to Philadelphia, hoping to workshop his productions in a more laid back environment - despite protestations from friends, Felicity followed him to Pennsylvania. The relationship began to dissolve when Felicity once again found herself being offered parts left and right, and he continued struggling to find sponsors for his. Even after the relationship officially fizzled, however, Felicity decided to stay in Philadelphia; the lifestyle was slower paced and down to earth, and truth be told, she had begun to get a bit burnt out after years on a more prominent stage. every so often she returns to broadway for a limited engagement, taking over the guest rooms of friends and living out her broadway dreams, but she always pulls herself back to philadelphia and the more low key theatres available there. with a cosy trust fund from her parents, it isn't as if she needs to do it for the money - and heaven knows there is little to no money in philadelphia theatre acting - and she is well aware that she has a luxury of being able to simply follow her whimsies that others do not.  • The middle of the three good fairies, Fauna was very often thrust into the role of the peacemaker, given her considerably gentler nature and introspective personality, and dresses primarily in greens and browns. She was certainly the most flighty and oblivious of the three, but her heart was always in the right place. Upon Aurora's birth, she gifted the child with the gift of song. When the three fairies take the young Aurora into the woods to live away from Maleficent's curse, Fauna does her best to step up and become the maternal figure that the child deserves - this tends to go awry, however, as Fauna may be sweet and well meaning, but a homemaker she is not. cakes were poorly made, meats woefully undercooked, and dresses stitched haphazardly. she was, therefore, always more than willing to let flora take the lead and do as she pleased, occasionally trying to referee fights between flora and merryweather - the worst of which was the whole "make it pink, make it blue" incident. fauna still doesn't understand  why they cared either way. • As a fairy, she had various magical abilities (fly, shrink and grow in size, bring inanimate objects to life, manipulate colors, conjuration, transforming objects, turning creatures to stone, etc.) that were tied directly to the wand she used. Without it, her powers are nonexistent. When the three good fairies pooled their powers together, they were able to both put the entirety of Aurora's kingdom to sleep when she fell under Maleficent's curse and provide Phillip with the weapons that would eventually lead to Maleficent's downfall and the subsequent breaking of the sleeping curse. • Has a very hard time not bringing home any stray animals she finds out and about, some of which she keeps, some of which she adopts out to other families. She currently houses a miniature horse, four cats, three dogs, a parakeet, and a deer. • Has a soprano vocal range, and was briefly trained in opera at her mother's behest. Felicity prefers contemporary musical theatre, however, and has only been in one operatic production to date. • is a horrendous driver. most friends will not even get into the vehicle if she's driving; she's been told she's a much too aggressive driver and her road rage is unparalleled. • is wholly addicted to pinterest. most of her pins are fashion, wedding, and home interior related, but she pins more recipes than she should considering she butchers all of them. • being given a second whirl at youth has admittedly made her rather vain; constant beauty treatments and spa days are something she holds as top priority, and she began getting preventative botox at twenty-six. if you want to know about what's new and hot on the skin care market, felicity's your go-to girl. Unlike her fairy tale counterpart, Felicity is not quite so scatter brained and oblivious to everything that goes on around her. Does she err on the side of flighty and have her occasionally ditsy moments? Certainly, but since the curse, she's become considerably more self aware and self preserving. Growing up an only child who was denied very little, she has gotten it into her head that she is never, ever wrong - because of this, she can be incredibly bull headed and will continue arguing even if a lightbulb goes off and she realises she is in fact the wrong party. She tells herself it's endearing. |
